Sharing is Caring

By September 1, 2018Uncategorized

Hey Team!

Next month I take to the stage in Melb with the goal of winning the Professional Sports Model Line up to be given my airfare to big competition for the title of WFF Ms World in USA next month.

When I think about what I have been working to achieve over the last 16 weeks, I smile. My smile is even bigger right now as found this quote below to summarize what it takes……it’s determination & drive & passion that has gotten me to this level.

It’s also been the massive support & encouragement from all of you. Words can’t describe how grateful I am for your help this year. THANK YOU.

QUOTE: Some succeed because they are destined. Some succeed because they are determined. -Unknown

HEALTH/FITNESS: Sharing is caring. This month I’d like to share an article by the nutritionist/herbalist & naturopath Pamela Nelson, who I work with at Health Space Lane Cove. Many people have been telling me lately that they are tired especially in the afternoons. This article she wrote goes on to explain symptoms & recommendations for resolving that evening slump.

MINDSET: Determination is associated with; “will power, strength of will, strength of character, single-mindedness, sense of purpose, firmness of purpose, fixity of purpose, purposefulness.” What is something you feel a sense of purpose about? Purpose is a clear understanding of your WHY. Knowing the reason WHY you want to achieve something is the key to success along with taking consistent action towards that vision.

NUTRITION: Food is not all created equal. Even through the grocery store stocks the food all year round doesn’t mean you should eat it all year round. When foods are consumed that are in season they have been show to contain higher levels of micro-nutrients. Many research papers on gut health also determined that eating foods when they are in season help improve gut function. September is a great month for strawberries, lychees, limes, watermelon, spinach, eggplant, beetroots, spinach, ginger, mint, & sage.

Check out https://sustainabletable.org.au/all-things-ethical-eating/seasonal-produce-guide/ for a full list via each season. Your mission is to choose is to find a recipe to incorporate 1 new food that is in season this month.
